Re: Man oh Man
5G is going to be more useful than I think many realize. While I'm not entirely sure IoT is a useful application for 5G's throughput, my guess is the ability to move quickly and with flexibility will still be useful here.

Re: Man oh Man
There are lots of buzzwords checked off in this announcement. I will hold my excitement until I see something more than a dog with a note around its neck! :P

I think they're just missing "blockchain".. once they acquire a blockchain startup, then they'll get my stamp of approval.

Not much more to expound upon, I just can't believe I had never even heard of them. Their website is beautiful and a dog with a note around its neck could sell me on what they are doing over there. Perhaps the most noteworthy part of thier operation is a dedication to security on multiple levels.

Man oh Man
<Executives say they are looking forward to seeing the three companies combine forces. Xura brings the security, messaging and monetization offerings, Mitel Mobile brings various mobile offerings and Ranzure brings the 5G radio access network technology.>

Executives? I can't wait to see all of the benefits that this holds. I am not even that familiar with Xura as a company but I am about to hit Google because it sounds like they are doing everything right and I am hyped about it.

In an industry where production yield and efficiency are tantamount to success, quickly identifying and correcting defects in the manufacturing process is critical. The customers of Optimal+ operate in production environments where errors related to yield and efficiency measurements can lead to losses of millions of dollars per year within a single plant. By implementing Vertica, Optimal+ is able to speed up analytical insights, combine data from different productions processes and gain visibility across the whole supply chain – leading to improved yield, quality and productivity for semiconductor and electronics manufacturers.

Join Alon Malki, Chief Architect at Optimal+, and Jeff Healey, Director of Product Marketing at HPE Vertica, to hear how advanced analytics and manufacturing intelligence can drive success in Industrial IoT. On this webinar you’ll learn:

  • Why HPE Vertica Analytics Platform is purpose built for IoT data
  • The challenges Optimal+ faced when developing a solution for IoT analytics
  • How Optimal+ leverages HPE Vertica to create an ideal big data architecture
